Welcome!
Our self-catering family cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River.
The cottage has two queen bedrooms with an inter-leading shared bathroom and separate toilet. Both the bedrooms, as well as the living area, have French doors, which lead separately out onto the deck boasting a beautiful view over the river. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, a gas-braai and an outside braai for your self-catering convenience.
River access below the cottage consists of a small terraced area from which you can dabble in some fishing and rustic river swimming.
Woodsong Cottage is located on Woodsong Farm, which is 25Ha in size with 2km bordering on the uMngeni River. It has a small dam which is ideal for picnics, swimming and bird watching.
The farm is developing small scale berry growing focusing on blackberries and relying on our own beehives to pollinate the crop.
We are currently building up our small herd of Indigenous Veld Goats and have learned that goats are delightful and intelligent animals. We particularly enjoy the exuberant playful kids.
The Dargle Valley area is home to many adventure events, mountain biking and hiking. The cottage is ideal if you are attending a wedding at one of the 150 Midlands wedding venues nearby.
